By age 21, Bridget Headland held a senior management position with a multinational finance company. It was a high-flying role with a company car, regular trips to the big smoke and impressive commissions.

Six years later, she is the founder and director of her own financial brokerage now operating in Darwin and Brisbane.

Vision Money specialises in negotiating the best finance options for people looking to buy their first home, renovate, refinance or invest.

Opening her own business was the culmination of seven years in the finance industry, and a personal aspiration to expand her own portfolio as a property investor.

“I feel very fortunate that I get to do what I love every day. I know it sounds cliché but it’s true.”

Bridget’s career began in 2007 with GE. She experienced a quick career progression to become the general manager a year later.

She then moved into a broker’s role with Wizard Home Loans, which later became Aussie Home Loans, and realised her love of the job.

“As it works out it was one of the best decisions I have made in my career as I found my true passion – I love what I do and this shows when I discuss finance with my clients.”

It also shows in her wall of accolades, including being the two-time winner of Aussie Home Loans’ top retail loan writer of the year.

“It was a huge achievement for me considering I was up against over 250 retail brokers and also a great way to thank Aussie Darwin for the support over the last few years,” she said.

Bridget also holds a number of awards for MPA Top 100 Brokers of Australia, Advisor Magazine’s Young Broker of the Year 2012 and multiple state awards.

Vision Money specialises in providing its customers with more choice in brokers, lenders, commercial products and also agribusiness finance.

“I noticed that while you could get your home loan from the bank or broker, borrowers were at a loss about where to seek assistance to finance machinery, purchase a commercial property or complete a self-managed super fund purchase,” Bridget said.

“While working as a broker I have helped guide hundreds of property investors to secure the right type of investment and helped them build a property portfolio based on a simple tried, tested and proven methods that many organisations charge thousands of dollars for.

“The best part about my job is I don’t charge the clients. I get paid from the lender, so what would normally take my clients days in searching for the best product can be done in minutes in the comfort of my office in Brisbane or Darwin.”
